Before completing registration we want to ensure you understand what a Pedal Tour entails and provide a safe and fun experience for all our riders. To ensure we can do that, there are some rules that must be followed by all passengers. By registering for this visit you and your guest(s) are consenting to ensure all rules and guidelines are met. Your driver will go over the rules again with you before your departure.
What is a Pedal Tour and how does it work?
This is far from your generic campus visit – this unique opportunity allows you and up to two guests to pedal your way through our picturesque campus and surrounding community on our 15-person pedal bike. This tour will have two stops along the route allowing you to see on campus living amenities and academic facilities.
Your purpose is to pedal - we will have a certified campus ambassador/tour guide in the captain’s seat “driving” the bike. Your pedaling will power us on our 90-minute journey to see a campus through a broader lens.
You don’t have to pedal the entire time, but pedaling helps reduce our carbon footprint. This experience highlights our dedication to sustainability!
Pedal Safety
Our bike is equipped with seat belts that are required to be worn at all times by riders.
Please be respectful of our campus and the city of Stevens Point while participating in the tour. The City of Stevens Point holds us to high standards to ensure the safety of the riders. Please remain respectful of the neighborhoods we route through.
We abide by the rules of the road – the bike is equipped with brakes and blinkers.
Be responsible - Any choices made by the riders on the bike, are the rider's responsibility.
Riding Logistics
Footwear: You are riding a bike, wear shoes with a secure strap. No flip flops or heels.
Hydration: BYOW – (Bring your own water) Water bottles are highly encouraged! Students will receive a UWSP tumbler cup as part of their visit. Stops along the route will have drinking fountains and restrooms. Each bike seat has a designated cupholder for each rider.
Hands Free: You are biking - we encourage you to leave bags, purses, and non-essential items in your vehicle or at home. Think – would you normally carry it on a bike?!

Weather
We ride in all weather; hot, cold, rainy, windy, etc. Bring along any clothes/necessities to prepare yourself for the type of weather that might happen on your tour. UWSP ponchos will be offered to students and guests weather pending. Layers are key.
If the weather is too severe, we will adjust your experience accordingly.
